Zero Waste Drive-Thru – Nov. 13

BurlingtonGreen are teaming up with Burlington Centre to help you eliminate clutter from your home and office while also helping the environment.
Crew members from the Electronic Recycling Association will be on-site to accept computer and cell phone electronics. Terracycle Zero Waste will also have bins for those unique waste items that are not currently accepted in Halton Region’s recycling program such as Halloween candy wrappers, water filters, reusable plastic containers and lids and used personal protective equipment. They will also accept batteries and ink cartridges.

Let’s Listen: Virtual Discussion – Nov. 18

On Sept. 21, 2021, the Halton Climate Collective (HCC) launched the 2021 HCC Reads program with Katharine Hayhoe’s “Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World.” The book, which is available at local bookstores and libraries, draws on interdisciplinary research and personal stories to give us the tools to open a dialogue about how we can play a role in pushing forward for change.
