- 98 percent of homes built before 2017 need to be retrofitted by 2050 for the cities of Burlington and Hamilton to reach their carbon reduction goals.
- The City of Burlington is working with the Centre for Climate Change Management at Mohawk College to develop a home energy retrofit program which will include developing a business plan for a delivery centre, assessing financing options for homeowners, and providing information sessions for homeowners.

Absolutely agree about the link to the carbon reduction benefit, which is highlighted under the ‘Do you know?’ section as a benefit of this program. What’s great about this session is that you learn how carbon reducing technologies also make your home more comfortable!

Does this webinar have any applicable to condos?

Thank you for your comment. I believe the presentation is directed to homes including detached, semis and townhouses whether they are condominiums or not but is not geared towards high-rise condos. We have followed up with the presenters and will post an update as soon as they confirm.

As a follow-up: The information is mostly for homes. Condos are tricky because you don’t have the same ability to renovate as freely as a home. The session will cover some basics that can be used in condos as well such as efficient appliances, energy efficient tips, etc.
