Tree Planting Opportunity

In April 2024, Burlington City Council approved Our Forest: City of Burlington Urban Forest Master Plan (UFMP) 2025-2045 along with the Woodland Management Strategy. The UFMP identifies a 35 per cent canopy cover target by 2060. One way to achieve this community target is through tree planting on both public and private land with community partners.
BurlingtonGreen and Burlington forestry staff are teaming up once again to host a community tree planting event where residents, students, groups, and business employees can register to plant 250 small native trees rain or shine.
- Wednesday, June 19
- 10 to 11:30 a.m.
- Bromley Park, 217 Maureen Court, Burlington
Note that advanced registration is required. Once you have registered, you will receive an email with detailed event information and safety tips. If possible, please bring your own shovels, trowels, and gardening gloves.
Wet Felting Creative Workshop

Are you interested in learning how to reuse and reinvent litter and scrap material and then use your creativity to make wet-felted designs? If so, register for this free hands-on workshop with textile-based artist Emily Chudnovsky.
