
Five new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are ready for use on City property, bringing the total number of publicly available charging stations to 35 and charging ports to 67.
All of the charging stations on City property are Level 2 except for a new Level 3 charging station as noted below.

Locations of new EV charging stations
- LOT 5b – 391 Brant St. Level 3 fast chargers
- LOT 8 – 523 Locust St. (Locust Street and Caroline Street)
- Beachway Park, 1100 Lakeshore Rd., near BurlingtonGreen Eco Hub
- Brant Hills Community Centre, 2255 Brant St.

Fees
Electric vehicle charging is currently free in public parking lots although standard parking fees apply where applicable.
EV parking rules
Under the City’s Parking and Idling Bylaw (By-law 39-2016), a ticket can be issued if you don’t abide by the following rules:
- EVs must be plugged in
- EV must move within four hours of parking
- Only EVs may park in designated EV parking spaces
