Halton Climate Collective logoThe Halton Climate Collective (HCC) is hosting a meeting about the challenges, opportunities and ways to help our community deal with a changing climate. In Burlington, this includes more rainfall over a shorter time frame with the potential of flooding and more heat waves.

What can you do?

Join us as we share ideas to reduce our impact on the climate.

What is the Halton Climate Collective?

The HCC is a group of local organizations focused on transforming Halton into a low-carbon, climate-resilient community. It includes environmental leaders from the Town of Oakville, Conservation Halton, Town of Halton Hills, Halton District School Board, Halton Catholic District School Board, Halton Environmental Network, Halton Region and University of Waterloo.

What is the City of Burlington doing on climate change?

  • Supports the Halton Climate Collective
  • Partners with the City of Hamilton and Mohawk College in the Bay Area Climate Change Office through the Centre for Climate Change Management
  • Works with community stakeholders, through the Community Energy Plan, to reduce our carbon footprint, to improve energy efficiency and local energy security
  • Works to adapt to climate change by planning for severe weather events
